Alteryx, Inc., the Analytics Cloud Platform company, today released its first Global Impact Report, which measures Alteryx’s progress against its key impact pillars and highlights its accomplishments in 2022 in terms of Alteryx’s people, environmental impact, and corporate governance and ethics. This report demonstrates Alteryx’s commitment to reporting on ESG indicators and defines a baseline for future goals and targets linked to giving back to local communities, boosting workforce diversity, and decreasing environmental impact.
“In 2022, I am extremely proud of our efforts to become a more socially and environmentally responsible company.” “We believe that tracking our ESG data is the first step towards honouring our commitment to our Maveryx community,” stated Mark Anderson, CEO of Alteryx. “This report provides an overview of our impact initiatives: how we are protecting and fostering diversity and wellbeing on our teams, engaging our customers in giving back, and building sustainability into our development strategy with an aim towards a greener, brighter future for everyone.”
- Paying it forward: Through the Alteryx for Good programme, which provides each employee 20 paid hours each year to volunteer with any nonprofit that is significant to them, employees volunteered over 6,400 hours to over 300 nonprofits in 2022. Through its Tech for Good programme, the company also provided over 400 licences to almost 200 nonprofits in order to assist organisations spark change by tapping the power of data. Since joining Alteryx’s Tech for Good programme, OzHarvest, Australia’s premier food rescue organisation, has been able to reduce tasks and focus on delivering more meals.
“Since 2020, OzHarvest has delivered over 19 million meals and saved 5,000 tonnes of food waste.” We were able to expedite manual data collecting operations, offer access to reliable data, and analyse programmatic impact by partnering with Alteryx,” said Andrew Miller, National Logistics Manager, OzHarvest. “Alteryx has saved us at least 10 hours per week in manual labour, allowing us to deliver more meals.” Furthermore, Alteryx has enabled us to discover credible figures on impact and programme reach, which has directly resulted in extra funding support.”
- Humanitarian Aid: Through employee donating and corporate matching, Alteryx has donated over $140,000 for Ukrainian rescue operations. In addition, the company donated $100,000 to Doctors Without Borders to aid in emergency planning and response delivery, and it cooperated with State Street Corporation to organise a free Alteryx training session for Ukrainians interested in pursuing careers in information technology.
- Protecting the environment: Alteryx created its first greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory to quantify the carbon emissions linked with the company’s global activities, which was the first step towards reducing Alteryx’s environmental effect. Simultaneously, the organisation has been harnessing the power of data to measure our environmental effect and find opportunities for reduction using the Alteryx data Platform.
- Advocating for Diversity, fairness, and Inclusion: The team measures diversity hiring targets and pay fairness using the Alteryx platform. Alteryx also makes its personnel demographics available to the public and has established quarterly touchpoints with each executive leader to evaluate and discuss their diversity goals and aspirations.
