PagerDuty, Inc., a global pioneer in digital operations management, has announced the appointment of Eric Johnson as Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Johnson, who has considerable experience establishing and leading global IT organisations, will be in charge of PagerDuty’s core IT infrastructure, data management, and enterprise systems. Johnson will report to PagerDuty’s Chief Technology Officer Tim Armandpour after joining the company’s leadership team.
Johnson comes to PagerDuty from SurveyMonkey, where he was CIO for four years. Johnson was functionally responsible for business systems, collaborative infrastructure, corporate data, and security at SurveyMonkey, as well as building a culture of technical excellence and business impact. Johnson formerly worked as CIO and senior vice president at DocuSign and Talend. He worked at Informatica for 12 years, leading the vision and strategy for global off-shore support and delivery, as well as architecting the support needed for the company’s transition to a SaaS platform.
“As a long-time PagerDuty customer, I’ve been impressed with the business and technical challenges the PagerDuty Operations Cloud solves for me as a CIO,” said Johnson. “PagerDuty understands the needs of CIOs and CTOs today, and I’m thrilled to work for a company that is committed to protecting revenue, reducing operating costs, and mitigating the risk and costs associated with major operational failures,” said the employee.
