Dell Technologies has appointed Steve Mollenkopf as a new independent member of the Dell Technologies Board of Directors, effective September 27, 2023. Additionally, Simon Patterson, Silver Lake’s managing director, resigned as a member of the board effective September. With Mr. Mollenkopf’s appointment, Dell Technologies’ Board of Directors now has eight directors, six of whom are independent directors.

Steve Mollenkopf served as CEO of Qualcomm Incorporated from 2014 to 2021. He began his career at Qualcomm as an engineer more than 25 years ago and has held several leadership roles at the company. He is an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) published author and inventor on 38 patents. He currently serves on the Boeing Board of Directors and as a senior advisor to Consero.
