Being able to interact effectively with AI is quickly becoming an essential skill in life. With this update to Opera One, our native browser AI, Aria, makes it easier and faster for users to get to the results they’re looking for, whether it’s the content they’re trying to create or the query they need help with.
“This year, we redesigned the browser to improve how Opera users interact with AI. This release improves the experience where it matters most: querying and content creation.” Product Director, Opera , said Joanna Czajka. “People want to create the content they want or get the best possible query results as quickly, accurately, and with as little effort as possible, and this update delivers. ”
Whether you need to compare Star Wars figures from different manufacturers or want to start a travel blog for vegan travelers with dogs, Aria helps you refine your queries and generate creative output. This has greatly improved the process, saving you a lot of time and effort.
Refine the browser AI’s output without having to provide context
The new “Refiner” tool in Aria has two main features: “Reuse” and “Rephrase”. Let us first explain “Reuse”.
To improve the responses you receive from a standard AI chatbot, you must frequently retype the whole context in each query. But what if the AI could generate the perfect response by combining pieces from several of its past responses? That is exactly what the “Reuse” function allows you to accomplish. Simply choose the sections of past responses that you wish to reuse, then click “Reuse,” and they will be added to the Aria input field. Once you’ve gathered all of the necessary parts, you may create a new prompt that will generate a new response based on the elements you choose.
For example, let’s say you’re using Aria to brainstorm vacation ideas to the Kingdom of Bhutan. You can select a few interesting suggestions from the AI’s answers and have the AI combine them to create a travel plan for the two of you.
Make the AI rephrase a specific part of its answer
Assume you are pleased with the blog post generated by the AI but would like to make one little tweak. Most solutions just allow you to request that they regenerate the entire item. Aria is unique in that it allows you to re-create a portion of its output: simply select the section you want to edit and click “Re-create.” The new response will retain the majority of the prior one while only reworking the portion you selected.
And, if you want to return to a section of Aria’s comments later, you may highlight the bits you need, exactly like you would with highlighters in a book or notepad; the new “Highlighter” tool will handle it.
Compose with ease
Generative AI can also assist you in creating fresh material and being creative. With new Opera One update, you can be more creative than ever before. Simply click the magical pen icon next to the input area to access the Aria Compose feature. All you need to do, whether it’s a personal blog post, a social post, an essential email, a presentation deck, or a speech, is:
- Select the type of content you want to write from the TASK section.
- Provide a topic and little more context in the DESCRIPTION field.
- Choose the length, as well as tone: formal, informal, neutral, academic, business or funny.
Your text will be ready in no time and you didn’t even have to come up with a prompt.
Training Aria to write like you
Aria can be further customised using the “My Style” function, which allows you to train the browser AI to write in your style. It’s never been easier to compose lengthy chunks of text, from insightful reviews to eloquent emails or severe complaints, all in your own distinctive style.
You must supply a few samples of your writing for Aria to learn from in order for it to write like you. Simply select “Define my style” by clicking the magic pen symbol next to the AI input form. You will then be requested to submit writing samples in formal, neutral, and casual styles. After that, you’re done. Aria will be able to produce messages in your voice.
The command line is one of Opera’s AI advancements.
Aria, the integrated browser AI, was initially introduced in Opera One. Since June 2023, Opera users can also interact with Aria via the command line (Ctrl+/ or cmd+/). When users have a question, they may utilise the command line to ask Aria and either interact with the browser AI’s response instantly in the sidebar or return to browsing.
The browser AI provides free access to a top GPT-based solution as well as up-to-date web information.
Opera has been integrating AI features to all of its flagship browsers on Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and iOS since early 2023. Aria is built on Opera’s own Composer architecture, which enables it to access other language models, like as OpenAI’s GPT models, and can acquire real-time data from the web. As a result, its results are more current and accurate. To use Aria, you must first join in to your Opera account or create one for free. The browser AI in Opera is an optional feature.
