LucidLink Showcases First Innovative Integration with Adobe Premiere Pro: The LucidLink Panel for Premiere Pro

At IBC 2023, LucidLink, a pioneer in high-performance remote collaboration for the world’s largest studios, brands, and creative professionals, will demonstrate its first integration for a creative application. The first integration of Lucidlink Filespaces within a creative tool is now available for Adobe® Premiere® Pro video editing software, allowing creative professionals to cache only the media required in their edit from within the Premiere Pro application.

With this new integration within Adobe Premiere Pro, creative editors may now either pin just the clips needed within their sequence or cache the clip ranges found within their edit, providing editors with a faster and more performant experience. The LucidLink Panel for Premiere Pro is the first in a series of integrations designed to work in tandem with the Adobe Creative Cloud® environment. Unlike traditional techniques, which necessitate painful downloads and time-consuming transfers, LucidLink has transformed the media and entertainment industries by streaming only the basic data required by any creative instrument.

The all-new LucidLink Premiere Pro integration puts intelligent, sequence-aware caching directly into the editing tool. The LucidLink Panel for Premiere Pro eliminates the need to pin entire folders on a desktop level, allowing creatives to easily pin and cache only the essential content required by the editing timeline.

Bringing LucidLink’s unique caching technology to the creative user’s attention, for example, can enable an editor to work with high-resolution media despite slow internet connections and without disrupting recognised and familiar collaborative processes. All of this is feasible without having to download and duplicate their media. This is the distinct value that LucidLink provides to global creatives worldwide.

The LucidLink Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro also has the following key features:

  • Users can set their cache to high-resolution, proxy, or both, allowing a seamless offline to online editorial workflow without the need to download or copy massive volumes of camera-original data.
  • Optimised Performance: With a single click, you can easily optimise Premiere Pro settings for peak performance.

The new panel will also indicate when content is not in a Filespace during the pinning or caching process.

The LucidLink Panel for Premiere Pro has an instant impact on a wide range of use cases. The Panel enables for exact in-app, sequence-aware caching for sports highlight reels that require near-immediate turnaround, permitting sports editors to work with the highest quality material possible and removing the need to download vast volumes of data on a desktop level. For documentary filmmakers on the fly, in-app, sequence-aware caching ensures a high-performance experience even in the most remote locales, without the cost of downloading content that isn’t required for the edit. And post-production conform editorial is finally straightforward, efficient, and free of the long-standing difficulties that finishing editors are all too familiar with.

“In the ever-evolving media and entertainment industry, LucidLink remains committed to pushing the boundaries of cloud-based collaborative workflows,” stated Peter Thomson, CEO and co-founder of LucidLink. We are excited to announce the LucidLink Panel for Premiere Pro, which is meant to enhance the editing experience with dynamic caching and unsurpassed convenience. Join us at IBC 2023 as we demonstrate our connection with Adobe, which provides Premiere Pro users with unprecedented control over LucidLink data without leaving the application.”

“Adobe is thrilled that LucidLink’s new workflow panel integration with Premiere Pro will be available for demonstration at IBC,” stated Sriram Iyer, Adobe’s Head of Video Products and Partnerships. “The panel enhances LucidLink’s already robust solution by allowing for one-click optimisation of Premiere Pro settings and even easier access to managing cloud-based workflows.”
