Mural, the enterprise’s leading visual work platform, today announced its integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot, which gives Copilot customers an AI-powered experience that can be utilized in conjunction with Mural. Mural is one of the first Microsoft 365 Copilot integrations to become generally available (GA) today, and it is the only visual collaboration solution within the first set of third-party integrations available. In addition to this integration, Mural is releasing Mural AI, which contains AI-powered capabilities such as actions, mind maps, and grouping. Mural is dedicated to providing tools and partnerships that enable teams to leverage the potential of AI to tackle the most critical challenges confronting enterprise teams today. Mural provides teams across the industry with the technology they need to collaborate better, quicker, and smarter with in-platform AI solutions and responsible, secure connections with existing technologies.
Microsoft 365 Copilot integration
Mural was chosen by Microsoft to be one of a small set of premier partners, as well as the only visual work platform, to support Microsoft 365 Copilot at launch. Mural is taking the next step in creating a seamless visual collaboration experience and saving organizations time as part of the core Copilot experience with its Microsoft 365 Copilot connection. Members can use the integration to streamline their daily work by using easy, natural language instructions. A sales representative may readily identify the consumer discovery mural for their account using Mural and Copilot; a designer can rapidly summarise a brainstorming mural with hundreds of sticky notes; and a product manager can efficiently obtain a project kickoff mural template — among other things.
Mural AI Capabilities
Mural’s purpose-built AI capabilities enable teams to jumpstart projects, widen their perspectives, and collaborate more effectively. Mural AI features enable teams to automate redundant and regular chores, swiftly synthesize knowledge, and produce new ideas, freeing up time for higher-level thinking that people excel at.
- Mind maps are an excellent visual tool for tracking thoughts and seeing where they lead. Mural AI can automatically produce mind maps from a single prompt and allow users to continue following the thread, helping teams to conceive and develop brilliant ideas faster and more efficiently than ever before.
- Actions: With natural language suggestions to quickly and efficiently execute typical tasks, Actions helps members save time and streamline processes. Summarise a bunch of sticky notes, gather ideas to kickstart a brainstorming session, generate icebreakers, and more from a single intuitive and simple-to-use entry point.
- Clustering: When teams collaborate to generate ideas, it can take a lot of time and effort to uncover those common threads that are crucial to moving forward with confidence. Mural’s AI clustering makes it simple to locate and sort ideas, clearing the door for fresh insights and enabling a smoother, faster decision-making process, allowing teams to focus on the big picture.
Mural’s software is designed to streamline workflows and free up knowledge workers’ time to focus on more important tasks.
“The new AI features in Mural are a game changer for brainstorming.” Pushing individuals to dig deep to be creative can be difficult. The capacity to swiftly create a mind map to stimulate thinking will be extremely beneficial. Using AI to swiftly aggregate ideas will save significant time in a workshop that would otherwise be spent just ‘organizing’ thoughts. Now we can concentrate on thinking.” – Cindi P., Professional Services Company Operations Lead.
The AI Future
According to a recent Mural survey, approximately two-thirds of all knowledge workers are excited and hopeful about AI’s ability to help teams work more efficiently together. They specifically recognize AI’s ability to eliminate repetitive work and automate operations. Individual contributors are less positive about AI than managers (88% vs 74%). Mural’s AI features, combined with its Copilot integration, enable teams to jumpstart projects, widen their horizons, and collaborate more effectively, all while assuring complete security and privacy from start to finish.
“We’re thrilled to announce our integration with Microsoft Copilot, which brings AI-enabled collaborative tools to the ever-evolving workplace,” David Baga, CEO of Mural, said in a statement. “Mural is committed to developing innovative solutions that address teamwork’s pain points, and this integration marks an important milestone in that regard.” We’ve had a terrific relationship with Microsoft over the years, and we’re excited to be one of the first plugins available at launch for Microsoft 365 Copilot. The future of work is AI-enabled, and Mural is delighted to be leading the charge with Microsoft to deliver new methods of working together to the workforce.”
“We are at a major inflection point where AI is reshaping work and transforming how we collaborate,” said Srini Raghavan, VP of Product Management for Microsoft Teams Ecosystem. “Through our expanded integrations our customers will be leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot and Mural plugin, to improve efficiency, productivity, and collaboration within their teams.”
Mural’s products are designed for the enterprise, and it takes a proactive approach to addressing its users’ security demands when developing and deploying AI capabilities. The organization has active SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications, as well as GDPR and CCPA compliance. Mural is also Microsoft 365 Certified. Mural intends to continue developing the Mural AI service and expanding its interaction with Microsoft 365 Copilot in order to better how teams collaborate today and in the future.
