MediaGo, a deep learning-based intelligent advertising platform under the Baidu Global Business Unit, announced today that it has upgraded its Smartbid capabilities, which will ultimately boost conversion rates (CVR) and significantly reduce cost per action (CPA), ensuring advertisers have the lowest possible bid to secure a display. By precisely targeting desired audiences, the enhanced capabilities improve ad performance and effectiveness, save time, and lower costs.

By effectively managing the bidding process, MediaGo’s new Smartbid feature creates tangible value for performance advertisers by leveraging deep learning technology. The Smartbid model, which is based on a deep neural network with over 1 billion parameters, enables advertisers of all sizes to see significant improvements in ad performance.

MediaGo Smartbid technology predicts how likely users are to convert using data and deep learning algorithms and adjusts base pay accordingly. More than 80% of MediaGo advertisers use automatic bidding. Average CVR for Smartbid campaigns increased by 25.6% when testing over 500 ad campaigns. Notably, after using Smartbid for their e-commerce advertising campaigns, ad CVR increased by 42.9% and CPA decreased by 35.3%.

Smartbid capabilities can also self-learn and adjust in real time to improve ad performance based on historical delivery data and real-time feedback, maximising the advertiser’s ROI.
